Femern A/S is constructing under design and build contracts the 18 km long tunnel between Puttgarden in Germany and Rødbyhavn in Denmark. As project owner, Femern A/S is the company responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. Femern A/S is a subsidiary company of the state-owned Sund & Bælt Group, who is also responsible for the Øresund Link and the Great Belt Link.

The Job
You will – alongside the Project Control Manager / Contract Director – be responsible for Interface Coordination for the full contract lifecycle, involving the electro-mechanical (TEM) and railway (TRW) contracts including high & low voltage power supplies, track, catenary/traction power for railways, tunnel ventilation, controls & automation systems, HVAC and lighting.
In cooperation with all contract areas within the Technical Division, you will play a key role in ensuring that all interfaces between contractors and stakeholders are successfully managed and that interface handover documents fulfils the expectations as required by the contracts and agreements. This includes assistance with planning and managing interfaces in a timely manner as well as resolving specific interface issues in cooperation with contract management, design and construction teams.
Your key tasks will be:
- Coordination and overview of Interfaces between the different Contracts, Stakeholders and third parties.
- Develop and follow-up on interface agreements.
- Facilitate and follow-up on Contractor’s progress of interfaces.
- Coordinate actions on internal and external interfaces.
- Review interface protocols.
- Meeting participation / hosting interface meetings.
- Reporting.
Your profile:
You have a Bachelor/Master engineering degree in either electrical, mechanical or equivalent with approximately 5 years of experience in interface management. Preferably on high complexity large scale civil or infrastructure projects with knowledge in multi-disciplined electro-mechanical and railway works. You have a good understanding of how project management controls relate to other project functions such as HSE, construction, procurement, reporting, design and contract management.
The ideal candidate will have the following key competencies & qualifications:
- A good overview of processes & talent to predict upcoming challenges before they arise.
- Good analytic and strategic skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver your messages clearly and unambiguously.
- Fluency in English both written and spoken.
- Able to thrive in an international environment whilst creating good relationships within the team and with stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic team player, self-motivated and pro-active with good attention to detail
- Familiar with e.g. Microsoft Office and project management tools.
