For our System Integration Department within the SW Division, we are looking for a skilled System Architect to join our growing, and dedicated and global team. In the SW division we deliver quality SW to both new power plants but also to the existing fleet with tens of thousands of turbines.
In the System Integration team, we fulfil the role of a Solution level System Team in SAFe. Which means that we are responsible for; the SW test strategy, the enforcement of it, and the creation and maintenance of build- and test environments in which automated tests are executed. This involves both HIL setups and small to large virtual environments, thus handling both the hard real-time and large scalability requirements. Our CI/CD tools and services are hosted both in our own infrastructure and in the cloud. We operate 1 data centre and 2 test labs.
The introduction of Continuous Delivery is a strategic goal of the department; our team has been given the responsibility of introducing it. You will join an inspiring and high performing multinational team.
How to contribute to our vision
You will be part of our System Architect forum, which bridge the team architects and the Enterprise Architects and look at the architecture from a system and Product perspective. You will in an agile manner analyze new product requirements from the DevOps PO, Enterprise Architects, or key stakeholders from the development ARTs and deriving requirements for the DevOps teams.
As a team you will drive the architectural runway of our department, furthermore you will align and influence the architectural runway at enterprise level. An important focus area is the improving our CI/CD lead-time by optimizing the build chain introducing massive parallel computing and automation. This is done planned and implemented in close collaboration with key stakeholders in the different teams. In doing so, you are one of the main drivers for the CD transformation and continuous improvement process within the SW Division.
You also act as the technical expert across multiple development projects helping them in keeping their delivery pipeline running. The projects range from deeply embedded controllers over large SCADA server systems to central fleet management systems. And together with our Cyber Security experts you will be the front runner for implementing relevant verifications in the pipelines and ensure a short lead time for our deliverables.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- You have an academic degree in Information Technology or Computer Science but your passion and experience with Continuous Delivery is most important.
- You have significant experience in the Continuous Integration and Delivery way of working and the tools and mindset, which are needed
- You are ‘hands-on’ and can get things done in a maintainable manner
- You have experience in applying agile software development practices (e.g. SCRUM)
- You have expert knowledge on GitLab, Gitflow, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Chef/Ansible
- You have strong DevOps understanding of the state-of-the-art build and code level QA tolls for C#, C++ and web development.
- You have basic knowledge of BDD, Cucumber - Ruby.
- You can coach a development team or an individual developer through the transition phase to a fundamental new way of working
- You are motivated by and interested in automation and development
- You take pride in getting the development projects working more effectively
- You are willing to travel a few weeks a year
- You have good communication skills
- You have excellent English verbal and written language skills - a basic understanding of Danish is advantageous
