Banedanmark is conducting Denmark's biggest railway programme; the replacement of all signalling systems with a brand new digital signal technology. The Signalling Programme is expected to cause fewer delays, a higher safety level, better centralized traffic control, energy optimization, and on-time passenger information. It is complex, technically intriguing and it will be groundbreaking for Danish infrastructure.

We are looking for a Rollout Lead who will be responsible for the engineering and delivery management for the signalling solution in the Fjernbane Signalling Project.

Your place of employment will be at our headquarters in central Copenhagen.

You are the Product Engineering and Delivery Manager on the customer side
As the Rollout Lead you will ensure timely and high quality in delivery of software upgrades from kick off until commissioning. Furthermore you will ensure that our supplier is fulfilling the technical and functional requirements of the contract closely with our Technical Authority Managers.

You will have a proactive role in identifying and solving problems and you will be reporting the progress to Project Management, this includes escalating issues and unforeseen events.

As a part of the software upgrade you are responsible for having a budget overview, from start to finish. You ensure timely deliverables from our suppliers in Coordination with your counterpart on the supplier side.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Defect management
  • Technical management of contract changes
  • Managing technical reviews of supplier deliverables
  • Managing Verification and Validation of supplier deliverables
  • Conducting and arranging inspections of supplier progress in engineering
  • Contribute with technical support during installation, test, and migration

You will be part of the Project Delivery Team and will be working closely with the Test, Engineering, and Installation Teams. You will also be supported by Planning, Risk, and Contract Management Teams. As responsible for the project, we expect you to have some knowledge of these activities.

Engineer with analytical skills and commercial experience
You hold an engineering degree and at least 5 years of experience in design and delivery of electronic signalling systems and knowledge of the railway sector, European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) and European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) standards. It’s an advantage if you have experience in defect management and large international projects.

On a more personal level, we are looking for a team player with analytical skills, a structured and detailed approach as well as good communication skills. You enjoy working independently and towards given tasks and deadlines.

Your English is fluent in both speaking and writing, as our working language is English, and the role includes communicating with colleagues from many different nationalities. We currently have specialists from over 20 different countries working in the Signalling Programme.

Salary
You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
