Who we are
We are an early-stage robotics startup developing innovative mobile robots to automate routine tasks in hospital wards. Our goal is for our mobile robots to assist nurses, and relieve them from simple but time-consuming tasks so they can focus on care tasks that require a more personal touch. We are a team of 3 (two Computer Scientists from DTU and one Industrial Designer from KADK) working full-time. We are now looking to expand our team with a talented and ambitious student who wants to join us to shape and build our mobile robots!

Your responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer intern in Yuman, you will be responsible for designing and building the mechanical and electrical elements of the mobile robot so it can safely and efficiently be used in hospitals. We would like you to be part of the team for at least the duration of the internship. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Take our mobile robot from an early conceptual design to a prototype ready to be tested in hospitals.
  • Produce CAD drawings of all the mechanical components.
  • Power Management system design in accordance with safety standards.
  • Design Electrical Schematics of the robot.
  • Documented the mobile robot assembly procedure and communicate your work.

Your Profile:

  • Enthusiastic about building robots and not afraid to take responsibility!
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or other technical related fields).
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiar with communication protocols (CAN, Serial, I2C…).
  • Able to commit to a full-time internship.

You like to get challenged and have the ability to work in a startup - where the environment is dynamic and agile.

What we offer:

  • Being part of an international team where you work with fast iterations.
  • Our team is currently based at DTU Skylab in Lyngby. Thus, you will have access to the DTU startup ecosystem and facilities!
  • We would like you to become part of our little community and work together. However, we are open to flexible and remote working hours.
  • Flexible duration of the internship based on the requirements of your degree

If this sounds interesting and you are up for the challenge, submit your application and we will get back to you as soon as possible! For more information or questions please contact us at sara@yuman-robots.dk or phone number +45 50 20 26 58
