Your new role
As a Market Director, you will oversee the Major Projects within the East Buildings market and drive client engagement, sales initiatives, and activities in the Copenhagen area. Reporting directly to the Senior Director for the Major Projects division in Buildings, you will be in the lead role in developing external client-facing business for Ramboll in Major Projects within the East buildings market. You will work alongside our Markets directors across other divisions and form a team dedicated to providing certainty of delivery for our clients and becoming their trusted advisors. By fostering strong relationships between the Head of Departments and other key stakeholders in relation to our clients, you will be a significant contributor to increasing the sales proficiency of the P&L unit Major Projects East.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Market and promote the Ramboll brand in the regional market and cities (especially Copenhagen)
- Identify market opportunities and follow up on leads
- Maintain market sector intelligence to stay abreast of trends and developments
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners and other external stakeholders
- Communicate achievements in the region and cities (especially Copenhagen)
- Support and pursue prioritised projects in collaboration with other divisions within Buildings and across other markets in Ramboll
- Implement best practices and promote learning among Market Directors
- Initiate and support client seminars and workshops addressing multidisciplinary emerging topics
- Develop and prepare the annual market strategy and business plan for the P&L unit Major Projects East
Your new team
You will be part of the management in our Major Projects Division in Denmark, which consists of approximately 250 highly dedicated and experienced colleagues. In our Major Projects division, we are leading large projects for clients within the Buildings sector – most often in close collaboration with colleagues in other Ramboll markets and colleagues in other countries. You will work closely with Markets Directors and Department Managers across other divisions within Buildings and across other markets in Denmark.
About you

These include:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience working within the Buildings domain
- A relevant academic degree or the equivalent qualification
- Excellent commercial skills and business acumen.
- Outspoken Ramboll "one company" mindset and strong collaboration skills
- Longstanding experience with relationship-building and networking
- High level of trust and credibility with clients, partners and external stakeholders
- Strong insight and understanding of the city's agenda and the ability to influence it through thought leadership.
- Ability to engage and promote all business units on an equal basis in the market and with clients
- Preferably, an established network in the Buildings sector, perhaps from previous experience working for such clients
- Fluent in English and Danish, written and spoken
