Eager to develop innovative IT solutions for sustainable startups and NGOs? Develop your skills and make a difference as a volunteer student IT consultant.

Senpage Consulting is a volunteer-led advisory group focused on helping sustainable startups and NGOs achieve their goals without sacrificing their values. We are currently recruiting university students and recent graduates interested in serving as volunteer consultants for a short-term project (approx. 3-month duration). Consultants are assigned to projects on a rolling basis, so if you are interested in contributing, please apply so we know to whom we should reach out!

Our ideal candidate:

• Current student or recent graduate in information technology, computer science, or a relevant field.

• Positive attitude and a passion for helping sustainable companies succeed.

• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in programming languages and IT tools relevant to the project.

• Able to meet deadlines.

• Able to commit 15-20 hours per month.

You don’t need to have a lot of experience, but we expect you to be able to work independently – we are a team of volunteers, so we all work asynchronously.

The role:

This position is aimed at students and recent graduates with a background in information technology, computer science, or a relevant field who are seeking hands-on experience in creating and implementing IT solutions for sustainable businesses. The role focuses on assessing clients' technology needs and developing strategies to improve their IT infrastructure and systems. You'll have the opportunity to work on projects such as software development, network security, or system optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with clients to understand their IT needs and objectives.

• Evaluate clients' existing IT infrastructure and systems to identify areas for improvement.

• Develop and recommend data-driven IT solutions that align with clients' goals.

• Collaborate with teammates to implement, test, and refine IT solutions.

• Present your findings and recommendations to clients, effectively communicating the rationale behind your proposed IT strategies.

Senpage Consulting is a nonprofit group that provides pro bono advisory services for sustainability-focused organisations through our network of volunteer consultants. Our mission is to provide sustainability-focused organisations with solutions to improve their operational efficiency while offering students the chance to gain experience through meaningful business cases.

Senpage Consulting's core team consists of permanent members who pursue prospective clients, recruit new volunteers, manage our internal and external communications, and shape the organisation’s broader strategy. Our project teams are comprised of volunteers from local universities who serve as consultants for our clients. We aim to recruit volunteers with a variety of competencies to serve every potential need.
