About us
Femern A/S have commenced works establishing the Fehmarnbelt tunnel and construction of the 18 km long tunnel between Puttgarden in Germany and Rødbyhavn in Denmark is progressing. As project owner, Femern A/S is the company responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. Femern A/S is a subsidiary company of the state-owned Sund & Bælt Group, who also is responsible for the Øresund Link and the Great Belt Link.

The position
You will – alongside with the Tunnel Contract Administration team – be responsible for the commercial and contract administration of the full contract lifecycle, involving managing the Immersed Tunnel and Portal & Ramps contracts.

Your key tasks will include:

• Support to the Contract Administration Managers in day-to-day management of variation orders and claims
• Execute daily contract administration activities

Your profile
You have a degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial or Business Engineering or similar and up to 5 years’ experience from commercial & contract administration on similar complex large-scale projects.

It is important that you are well organised, have a good grasp of British/International construction contract terms, are a good communicator and have a good command of English. It is important that you can communicate to a high standard, both in writing and orally, as good and precise communication will be essential. The contract communication is in English. Danish language skills are not essential; however, the development of an ability in Danish is encouraged.

The ideal candidate will have the following key competencies and qualifications:

• Construction contract and change management experience
• Working knowledge and understanding of standard forms of contract and international Construction Law (such as FIDIC or bespoke)
• Experience on Civil Engineering and infrastructure projects, ideally on public works
• Experience on major international infrastructure projects would be a benefit
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate contractual requirements and issues clearly
• Bilingual or professional proficiency in English
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active with a good attention to detail
