Research in supply chain management has never been more important. Therefore, we are enhancing our research team in supply chain management at the Department for Technology, Management, and Economics (DTU Management) at DTU. If you aspire to pursue a university career in supply chain management, we look forward to receiving your application.

We are an influential research group within maritime management and logistics, healthcare operations management and sustainable freight transport and logistics. As we are now strengthening our research within supply chain management, we are offering this Associate Professor or Tenure Track Assistant Professor position. You will be part of a talented and ambitious team, which is situated at the very heart of DTU's mission to develop and create value for the benefit of society.

We approach supply chain management from theoretical and methodological angles, seeking insights to understand how digital transformation and broader industrial shifts define the future supply chain systems. Our goal is for our research to make significant impacts in the academic realm while also providing practical benefits in the industrial sector.

You are expected to engage in research to support the production and service sectors in creating decision-support models to enhance efficiency, all while actively contributing to the goals of the green transition agenda. Our research draws on methodologies such as operations research, simulation modeling, process optimization, and similar approaches. Therefore, we anticipate candidates for this position will have a background in either engineering, computer science, or economics.

Given our department's close collaboration with prominent universities and companies on both the national and international stages, you will further expand your current network by initiating new partnerships with leading colleagues and stakeholders in academia and industry.

You must be responsible for the teaching of courses. We expect you to bring the latest results from your research into our teaching to educate the new generation of engineering graduates within supply chain management to teach and inspire our students. You will work with your colleagues to deliver an exceptional learning environment for students at all levels.

DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.

As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). If you are applying for the associate professor position you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.
