Do you want to work in the green offshore wind industry where your skills and expertise will help secure a sustainable future based on renewable energy? Then you might be the Technical Sales Engineer we are looking for.

Cadeler is a global partner in offshore wind farm construction and maintenance, and we are part of an industry that is now, more than ever, both relevant and in high demand. As our industry continues to grow, so do we! We are now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to help support the development, delivery and quality of technical documentation used as basis for technical tender proposals.

 

What will you do?

As our new Technical Sales Engineer, you will collaborate with Tender Managers and Technical Sales Managers to identify and evaluate technical content, cost drivers and risk factors in the revision of tenders. You will support the sales team with technical insights and clarifications.

Your main tasks include:

  • Preparing documentation on technical qualifications, method statements, time schedules and technical drawings.
  • Performing tender-stage engineering such as preliminary vessel positioning, deck layouts, site specific assessment and lifting plans of proposed solutions.
  • Proactively develop technical templates/tools/methodologies to support tendering process.
  • Ensuring compliant technical tender packages through strong communication with internal and external stakeholders (such as Project Engineers, Project Managers, Vessel Crew, Clients, and Suppliers).
  • Developing technical content for external/internal presentations as well as supporting sales meetings with technical clarifications.

We are looking for a structured profile, who quickly digests technical information, and adapts to business requirements. You have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate technical matters effectively to a variety of audiences with different levels of technical expertise.

We think you will be a good match if you have the following competencies:

  • Bsc or Msc in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering or equivalent.
  • +2 years’ experience in an engineering related role within the wind and/or offshore industry.
  • Prior experience with Foundations T&I projects and jack-up vessels is an advantage.
  • Competent in relevant engineering drafting (Autocad 2D or 3D modelling software).
  • Competent in standard and project Microsoft IT package.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
