Moving from fossil fuels to green alternatives is the right thing to do – but it’s not easy
In this leading technical role, you will be the enabler and anchor point between our senior project managers and the department's process specialists. Our broad expertise enables multidisciplinary collaboration in green hydrogen, e-fuels, biomass & waste to energy, pyrolysis, and similar processes. You will join more than 100 motivated colleagues specialised in energy production, chemical processes, carbon capture, electrical, piping, and mechanical engineering, working alongside our customers on some of the world’s most significant green fuels & carbon capture projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Technical lead on carbon capture, flue gas treatment, liquefaction, and intermediate storage & transport projects.
  • Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility and FEED studies including CAPEX and OPEX estimation.
  • Planning, design, construction, and integration of Green Fuels/Power-to-X solutions.
  • Guiding and supervising colleagues in process flow diagrams, calculations, P&IDs, and system designs.
  • Safety assessments (HAZID/HAZOP).
  • Contributing to continuously enhancing our process design, knowledge, and capabilities.
  • Taking responsibility for process design and optimisation.
  • If desired, participating in the department’s business development activities.

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners, or customers. On top of that, you will have:

  • More than ten years of experience as process engineer, preferably at least 5 years within Carbon Capture, Flue Gas Treatment, CO2 liquefaction  green fuels or PtX technologies.
  • Experience in biomass or waste to energy processes and/or cement projects.
  • In-depth experience in some of the following areas: chemical/process engineering, power plants, chemical synthesis plants, pyrolysis, hydrothermal liquefaction or similar processes, refinery operations and energy systems.
  • Experience in Pro/II, Aspen Hysys or similar software is favourable.
  • Preferably a MSc. in Engineering (Process/Chemistry/).
  • Excellent English language proficiency for composing complex technical documentation and talking with clients
  • A high degree of initiative, an open-mind, and a good sense of humour.
