IT Engineer for Signalling Systems

The position
In association with our system designers, your main task is to design, document and implement server platforms and network structures and thus ensure handover to our IT operations. As an IT-Engineer within infrastructure, you will be an essential member between our project establishments and operational organization. Your responsibilities include ensuring mutual understanding and delivering solutions that align with business requirements and are easy to operate.

What you are needed for:

• To be responsible for structuring and coordinating operational IT infrastructure components and network changes.
• To review proposed architectures during the process establishing the infrastructure.
• To contribute with reliable solutions to which there may be questions.

Who you will work closely with:

• Fjernbane IT team members to finalize designs.
• Representatives from operations to ensure acceptance of solutions and prepare smooth handover (including documentation and staff training) and transition to operations.
• Banedanmark suppliers to troubleshoot and ensure safe and accurate implementation of decided solutions.

You can expect a variety of other equally interesting tasks such as: assisting with further development of the end-to-end change process; supervising in terms of operation and maintenance; OS configuration; high availability and clustering; hosting network security; design and implementation of hardened OS server images; Jump Hosts, automation with Ansible and PostgreSQL clusters.

Engineer with analytical skills and structured approach
We are looking for an engineer with with 3-5 years of experience within infrastructure design and implementation. You are well acquainted with mission critical systems and prioritize reliability and security.

On a personal level, we are looking for a team player with analytical skills, a structured and detailed approach as well as good communication skills. At the same time, you can work independently and towards given tasks and deadlines.

You are not tied to specific technologies, but you have a deep insight and understanding of what really works and what the organization will benefit from.

Project communication is predominantly in English and the office communication in Danish.

Salary
You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
