Senior Mechanical Engineer - make a difference in Adhesive Mixing
Are you excited to work in a production environment where your daily tasks offer both variation and exciting challenges? Then grab this opportunity to join one of the best-performing medical device companies in the world, where great colleagues are ready to give you a heart-warming welcome to the team.
Join a specialist role within our Adhesive and Mixing team
At our Pilot Plant in Mørdrup, you will join 10 experienced process engineers and technicians at our Adhesive Mixing team, which is part of the Material Processing department. Together, the team is responsible for processes relating to mixing and coating of adhesives for skin application.
In addition to Adhesive Mixing, the department also consists of the Continence Care and Foaming teams, bringing you up to a total of 38 great new colleagues. Also, you can look forward to sharing and exchanging knowledge with product designers, material specialists, technicians, machine suppliers, operators, and our international manufacturing sites.
“It’s a very comfortable environment with knowledgeable and engaging people who collaborate across functions. At the same time, we have a very flat organisation with a lot of freedom for you to operate within,” explains Team Manager Peter Jensen.
Don your safety shoes and develop our processes
Being in charge of both the operational and technical aspects of the mixing as well as the related processes, you will be stepping into a very varied workday in our adhesive production. Here, you and a crew of technicians will be responsible for our mixing machines, ensuring that it runs smoothly around the clock.
As a senior process engineer, you will be supporting our in-house production and conducting upgrade projects on the machinery. That means taking an active hand in the daily operations and not being afraid to get your hands dirty when something needs mending or new features need implementing.
You will become the specialist on all things relating to the machine – and because it is also used in projects and product development, you will need to ensure that processes are in place and adapted when necessary.
More specifically, your key tasks include:
- Maintaining production equipment, exploring relevant process technologies and specifying pilot and production equipment
- Sharing knowledge with our international manufacturing site and supporting new Pilot Plant processes
- Taking part in process validations, production of products for test purposes and production start-up
- Ensuring best possible DFM (Design for Manufacture) in R&D projects, providing input to product and process risk assessments, DFM workshops and Process URS (User Requirement Specification)
Approximately 10-15 travel days to sites in Europe per year are to be expected.
Mechanical knowledge and a hands-on approach
You are known for your team player mentality and your ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Also, you have an analytical and structured approach to problem-solving and documentation.
It is also vital that you master the art of communicating complex and technically challenging information in a manner that can be understood by non-specialists.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Bring a relevant technical degree within mechanics, engineering, or equivalent
- Have solid experience from a similar role and material and mechanical knowledge
- Maybe have knowledge of polymers and powders processing
- Have experience developing, specifying and maturing new processes and production equipment
- Maybe have experience using Six Sigma
- Speak and write English flawlessly
