Here we are responsible for developing mechanics and electronics for our analytical instruments and we have many world class solutions in the field and exciting new projects in the pipeline that require state of the art hardware solutions. We are looking for a People Manager for our “Product Engineering” team which is a department focused on our existing portfolio as well as smaller projects. The area cover disciplines of both electronics and mechanics.

The R&D Hardware department comprises of more than 60 developers and makes up for about 1/4 of the R&D organization in FOSS - and we are growing.

The job
As People Manager for “Product Engineering” in R&D Hardware you will take on the responsibility for 5 people, as well as drive prioritization and planning for all request for updates on our released instruments plus smaller projects related to released products. This prioritization will be done in collaboration with the product managers and our customer segments to ensure we have the right focus. You must have a balanced interest and experience in mechanical/electronics development as well as people development in an agile context. This could e.g. be from a similar position in product engineering or from a PTA department.

You will need to plan continuously and evaluate when help is needed from the rest of the organization.

Further, the team is responsible for continuously overseeing and improving the ECM process. This way we continuously get better at linking R&D with Sourcing and Production and get the benefit of our work and updates to our customers. We have production facilities both in Hillerød, Denmark and in China.

As we create state of the art products, this means a high focus on system uptime, robust mechanics in combination with food product.

Your daily work will be at the FOSS innovation center in Hillerød Denmark, with only few traveling days per year.

  • Understand ECM process and workflows from R&D to Production

Secondary Qualifications

  • Experience from manufacturing industry
  • Experience with processes for evaluating customer and internal cases
