The Managing Assortment Complexity Team (MAC) is part of the Europe Zone Finance department, which sits at our global headquarters in Viby - Aarhus. The MAC team performs category reviews to identify opportunities for creating a larger and more profitable cross-market product portfolio, with improved speed to market to serve our customers and consumers better. On top of that, the team also develops skills and tools within the organisation to embed the category review mentality in the everyday work of commercial and supply chain organisations.

How you will make impact

As an Intern in the MAC team, you will be part of both elements of the team's agenda. You will support the team in category reviews, which include translating data analysis into business cases and taking ownership of different initiatives to ensure maturation across commercial and supply chain stakeholders. Furthermore, you will support in preparing materials for Steering Committee meetings and, lastly, help facilitate workshops at production sites.

You will also take an active part in building MAC's future by changing how the business looks at its portfolio. Concrete topics can be adapted to your profile and interests but are likely to include:

  • Identifying the right perspectives to challenge and measure the complexity of the portfolio
  • Developing and rolling out new tools across the organisation
  • Maintaining existing tools for local markets and the leadership team
  • Driving the learning agenda in the organisation

Throughout both elements of the Internship, you will be an integral part of the five-person MAC team. You will have the opportunity to work with and manage a wide variety of stakeholders.

What will make you successful

We are looking for a colleague with an open mind who think critically and combine multiple angles of a problem into a solution. You should be a master's student enrolled at a university in Denmark.

Furthermore, we prefer that you are:

  • Analytical thinking and working with numbers should be among your strengths.
  • You will also be dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders; therefore, an outgoing personality and effective communication skills are needed to succeed in this role.
  • Strong in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and eager to develop your skills further.

You will be working in an international team. Therefore proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is necessary. In addition to English, knowledge of other European languages is an advantage (in particular, Scandinavian languages, Finnish, German, or Dutch)

What do we offer?

Being an Intern in the MAC team, you will build on your strong analytical capabilities, develop your stakeholder management, and change leadership skills. You will learn to evaluate multiple perspectives on one problem and make decisions in ambiguous situations.

The MAC team cooperates with various departments (marketing, production, procurement, finance, etc.). Therefore you will get exposure to a variety of stakeholders across the business.
