For our Plant and Facility Design (PFD) team, we are looking for a committed and motivated Global Facility Engineer to ensure we can execute our growing project pipeline. The position is located in Aalborg, Denmark, with secondary positions in La Havre, France, and Hull, England.

Our PFD team ensures the specifications of building requirements and building specific equipment from feasibility study, following the process with Siemens Gamesa’s Real Estate, the design institute, and the general contractor, until the building or extension of the building is finished. The building specification includes layout, cranes, floor and ceiling loads, paint booth, curing oven, electrical power, high vacuum, ventilation, degasser/ infusion system, compressed air, humidification, etc. Our PFD team makes the purchase specifications for this building specific equipment and supports the purchase team to pick the right supplier. Our PFD engineers also follow and advice the installation managers under installation, perform the FAT, SAT, and TOC on the equipment and support the plants afterwards. Collaboration with our key stakeholders and understanding the processes, technical requirements, and deadlines are essential.  

How to contribute to our vision:

  • Make building specifications and involve stakeholders.

  • Revise and follow up on layouts 2D and/or 3D.

  • Review building specifications with SGRE Real Estate, design institute, and general contractor.

  • Follow the construction work and adjust specifications within our requirements.

  • Specify purchase request, review quotes, and help pick the right supplier.

  • Follow the installation, support the installation manager, and make sure our requirements are met.

  • Execute FAT, SAT, and TOC on our equipment.

  • Support the plants after commissioning of the PFD equipment.

What you need to make a difference:
Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are looking for a motivating team player, who is resilient, responsible, and structured with excellent communication skills. You interact with stakeholders high and low in the organization as well as external stakeholders. You are motivated by providing quality results within the deadlines and are happy to work in a dynamic organization and environment.

Preferably you should have:

  • A degree within Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or similar, with a minimum of 2 years of working experience.

  • Competences within one or more of the technical areas; machine design, electrical power, thermodynamic, layout, calculation, high vacuum system, cranes, paint booth, and curing oven.
       
  • Experience in NX, Autodesk 2D, or other drawing programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Power Point, and MS Project.

As a person, we are looking for someone who is:

  • Comfortable working in an international, multi-cultural team, and capable of working effectively across department boundaries in a large organization.

  • Open-minded and proactive with a quality-oriented and structured approach.

  • In possession of excellent stakeholder and communication skills in English, both written and verbally.

  • Willing to travel approx. 30-50 days per year.

  • Familiar with project management.
