Would you like to help construct the largest portfolio of renewable energy in the world while working for the leading developer of offshore wind? 
 
Join us and become Wind Turbine Installation Manager in our Wind Turbine Installation department, which has 11 employees.  
 
The department is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. 
 
You may choose freely to be based either at one of our Danish offices in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or in Skærbæk near Fredericia or alternatively at our London office in the United Kingdom or our Hamburg office in Germany on local terms and conditions. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. 
 
Your key tasks will be to 

  • be responsible for delivering the technical content of contracts for the execution of our WTG installations 
  • work with the product line group to provide portfolio savings and improvements 
  • manage the installation of offshore wind turbines during the execution phase, and manage the interfaces between the WTG supplier, the installation vessel contractor and the marine warranty surveyor 
  • assist with the selection of WTG installation vessel contractor and manage the WTG installation vessel contract and the WTG installation contractor during delivery, load out and installation of WTGs offshore 
  • coordinate the optimisation of the deck layout. 

Furthermore, your assignments will include liaising with the line management team organisation and lead specialist to share knowledge and information, and to assist in monitoring and trouble shooting. You will report to the project WTG package manager within the project execution phase and assist the package manager during the pre-FID phase. Moreover, you will make recommendations to the Wind Turbine Supply Agreements with respect to WTG installation, and you will act as WTG scope main point of contact with the Marine Warranty Surveyor. Finally, you will visit onshore and offshore sites as required and check that the port access, pre-assembly area, quayside and soil conditions are suitable for WTG installation scope of work. 
 
Your qualifications and core competences include that you 

  • have prior experience from a key role on a construction project, for example installation manager, installation engineer or project engineer 
  • have relevant technical experience and qualifications, ideally within wind energy, engineering or marine operations 
  • have experience within naval architecture, marine construction, WTG installation, offshore engineering and/or marine contracting 
  • have GWO offshore access and safety training for offshore construction, although equivalent qualifications may be considered, and we will refresh any expired qualifications 
  • have experience, knowledge and/or qualifications regarding LOLER and CDM regulations, or equivalent Danish or German legislation. 

Moreover, you are able to demonstrate good written and verbal English skills. Ideally, you also speak and write Danish or German; however, this is not a requirement. You are team-oriented with focus on safety and quality. Furthermore, you have strong organisational skills and are a competent user of Microsoft Office. Experience with AutoCAD, Primavera and Synergi would be an advantage.
