For our office in Aalborg, we are looking for a Student Assistant with experience in Python to work in our Data Analytics Team. The role will provide you with deep insights in the engine room of energy trading. 

As a team we work on 

Providing high-quality model and tool development that supports multiple trading desks. 
We oversee the vast amount of data available for trading and translate that into actionable insights. 

The Job role 

You will be required to produce high quality increments to the team’s code base working both individually and collaboratively. This will include, but is not limited to: Maintenance and servicing our analytics prototyping systems, written in Python, assisting analysts in making relevant live dashboards using our data pipeline infrastructure, working for example with: 

• Modelling/forecasting, using Machine Learning and classical statistical approaches. 

• Data quality evaluation 

• Performance optimization, AWS cloud computing, parallel processing. 

• Interface development using React.JS or Dash 

 
About you 

The ideal candidate: 

• Is studying in the field of the exact sciences (for example Computer Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering, Chemistry or Physics) 

• Has experience and understanding of Python programming 

• Knows of GIT, OOP & Patterns & Cloud 

• Knows how to communicate with relevant colleagues 

• Has a strong interest in energy markets
