Maersk Container Industry (MCI) is looking for an Embedded Software Developer with strong competencies within embedded Linux for our Star Cool System Control & Digital Service department.

As our new Embedded Software Developer, you will be part of our Software development team with focus on embedded Linux, where you will report to the Manager of Software development.
The team works primarily on our new Integrated controller platform which includes connectivity. Furthermore, the team is responsible for maintaining and further develop new features on existing products.

Key responsibilities
You will play an important role in designing, developing, and testing new and existing software.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for:
- Implement software modules, which interacts with a wide range of wireless technologies.
- Document codes according to development standard
- Ensure high software quality.
- Support other R&D colleagues, e.g., Test Engineers and Quality Specialists
- Contribute to ensure best practice in software development within the team
We are looking for
Ideally, you have 5-10 years of relevant work experience within Linux based application development on embedded targets. Furthermore, you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or similar.
Your solid experience within embedded software development includes:
- Extensive experience in software development of Embedded Linux (BSP).
- Experience with Open Embedded/Yocto, including bootloader and kernel development.
- Expert knowledge in C/C++ in embedded devices
- Experience in Python, Git, and working with Agile Development (Scrum, etc.)
On a personal level, you are well-organized and structured.
We are looking for a creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a prerequisite and you need to be able to present complex work to your other colleagues who are not experts in this area.
