About a2i systems
a2i is an acronym for AAI, that is “Applied Artificial Intelligence”.

The company was founded in 2007 by two PhD researchers in Applied Artificial Intelligence at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute of the University of Southern Denmark.

Today the development team at a2i systems consists of top-performing graduates with a Masters degree in Software Systems Engineering and specialty in AI from this very same University.

In 2011 a2i systems set its course on developing industry specific business intelligence systems with a focus on customer behavior and price optimization, which led to the development of the PriceCast Engine. 

In order to stay at the leading edge of the science of Applied Artificial Intelligence, a2i systems in 2010 formed an AAI Technology Advisory Board lead by Professor Yves Demazeau, who serves as Research Director at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and President of the French AI Association (AFIA).

Subsequently a2i systems entered into a partnership with the largest Danish retail fuel company OK Benzin and developed PriceCast Fuel – the Next Generation Retail Fuel Pricing System based in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Behavioral Pattern Recognition.

In 2012 a2i systems entered a strategic alliance with Wincor Nixdorf, one of the worlds leading Retail Fuel Systems Integrators with more than 9.000 employees and a presence in 130 countries. This alliance will support a2i systems' growth and expansion into new markets in North America, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. a2i systems has already in 2012 established long-term partnerships with a number of European Retail Fuel companies.
