We seek a versatile and professional well-founded Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (hereafter SQA Engineer) to take up our open position. You will play a central role in our value chain as you will be the important link between our suppliers and FOSS. You will take part in supporting daily operation and throughout development of new instruments.

The Quality Assurance team consist of 8 engaged and competent colleagues all reporting to the QA Director. We are ambitious and work hard to fulfill our aims, while maitaning the open and honest cooperation. We strongly believe that we are best when we succeed as a team, and if we can have fun while doing so.

We are part of the FOSS Innovation Center in Hillerød and the position is a full time job with some degree of travelling (approximate 20 days/year).

Primary tasks
Your primary focus will be to ensure a structured and risk-based approach to quality assurance of our approximate 500 suppliers and also entails internal alignment and cooperation with our main stakeholders in R&D, Production and Sourcing.

You will have a close eye on the quality level of the supplied components and materials and will initiate improvements activities towards our suppliers and ensure internal alignment when needed. You will have an active role in quality assessments of suppliers and parts, which includes, but are not limited to, first article inspections, supplier audits and visits.

You are expected to provide an early and active QA support in the New Product Development projects, but also to find joy in day-to-day trouble shooting to keep the production run smoothly.

Qualifications
You will as SQA Engineer support a wide span of parts within many different technologies, e.g., mechanical machined, sheet metal, optics, electronic, electro-mechanics, and chemistry.

You must have the ability to understand technologies that are not necessary for your primary education field, but as the majority of our sourced components are mechanical machined or sheet metal, you shall have a deep understanding of these specific areas.

Ideally you have worked in a similar role or been involved in QA processes like auditing, systematic problem solving and continues improvements.

You can have education as Engineer, a relevant Bachelor or Master Degree, or similar. But you have a proven track record working with technical evaluation and problem-solving for at least five years.

You know the world of sub-supply and sub-contracting, can see through processes, and point out problematic stages in manufacturing, and support process improvement.

Since corporate language is English, it is a prerequisite that you are excellent in both written and spoken English.

You are resolute and persistent when ensuring that quality issues are solved and implemented correctly into FOSS’ instruments. You are ambitious, curious, and want to make a difference.

The ability to build positive relations and communicate clearly to stakeholders throughout the organization is very important to succeed in the job. You can take the lead, and voice your opinion, and challenges in a constructive way. You value honest and direct communication and have a positive outlook on life.
