We invite you to bring your skills as Tunnel Ventilation Specialist into play as you contribute to bring good and sustainable solutions to our clients. In Rambøll you will become part of an international oriented department focusing on installations design on large tunnel projects of all kinds. To succeed in this role you must have the ability to calculate critical velocity in road and train tunnels as well as simulate air and smoke movement under normal and critical conditions. It is also important that you have an interest in tunnel safety and a knowledge about safety standards and guidelines such as American NFPA, the Norwegian N500, Austrian ASFINAG, German RABT as well as good practices deriving from PIARC and similar organizations. Finally, it is an advantage if you are familiar with CFD simulating as well as the use egress models to simulate occupants exiting a building during emergencies. You will join our department Transport, Mechanical and Electrical

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Assessing the need for safety related ventilation in the early project phases
  • Designing of Safety related ventilation installations by performing complex analyses using computer modelling
  • Leading others within your field of expertise, discipline lead
  • Performing design review within your field of expertise

Your starting point for constant growth

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in mechanical engineering
  • Experienced within ventilation design in large infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience with IDA Tunnel software or similar
  • Experience with CFD software
  • Superior communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • Willingness to learn and use Danish professionally
