Are you up for the challenge?
We are currently looking for an experienced Thermal Engineer to help design our SkyClean pyrolysis system. SkyClean is a high impact climate technology, combining low-cost biochar carbon capture with carbon-negative fuel production using agricultural waste material.

Taking SkyClean from concept to commercial scale
You will be the thermal modelling expert in the design team working to develop the SkyClean technology, fully realizing the climate change mitigation potential in converting straw to bio-char, biooil, and heat. You will participate in all phases from concept development to com-mercial scale projects, and your contributions will be vital for the team’s success.

Your primary tasks will be:

Thermodynamic modelling of the SkyClean system
Cold and hot testing of prototype and demonstration plants
Data acquisition and analysis
Capturing and implementing learnings from prototypes into the theoretical models
FEA and CFD modelling

Your profile
You have an engineering background and probably at least five years of experience in design and test from industries also handling biomass, such as power plants or other relevant industries. Experience in design and manufacturing of welded steel structures subjected to thermal expansion is an advantage.

We expect you to approach your work with enthusiasm and to be self-driven, passionate, and committed. It is natural for you to take on responsibility and you are confident in the role of team leader. You also perform well in the dynamic environment of a start-up organization.
