Test engineer - Optics

Accelink Denmark A/S is searching for an optical engineer to join our Test and Measurement department, to maintain and develop our knowledge within charactering of optical waveguide components.

Accelink Denmark is a world leading manufacture of waveguide components, such as AWGs, to the optical telecom industry. The Test and Measurement department have multiple tasks: Keeping the optical lab running to qualify the manufacturing quality of the components, further develop the optical setups and system, as well as modifying them for R&D measurements. The department is responsible for its own software tools and hardware maintenance and consists of 3 engineers and 4 operators that keeps the lab running almost 24/7. You will report directly to Head of Operation.

Overall responsibility:
As an engineer in Test and Measurement you will have a changing workday, with a high degree of influence. Your main task is to verify that our five semiautomatic test setups are running correctly, if not identifying and fixing issues. In addition, you will be working on improving lab routines, aiding operators, and further develop measurement concepts. Results form Test and Measurement are widely used throughout the organization, giving you collaboration with engineers from other departments.

The team is put together as a multidisciplinary team, with possibilities for specialization within the team.

Background
You are strong in experimental work, preferable within fiber optics and hold a M.Sc. with a relevant profile in engineering or physics. Preferably, you have skills in some of the following areas:

• Fiber optics or optical measurements
• Troubleshooting, hands-on experience
• Programming, like SQL, Labview or Phyton
• Experience from high-tech manufacturing

Accelink Denmark A/S develops and manufactures planar optical waveguide components used for fiber optical communications. Our production takes place in a clean room (ISO class 5) and utilize the same process technologies used for fabrication of integrated electrical chips. We are approximately 60 employees in Denmark located on Blokken 84 in Birkerød. We are 100% owned by the Chinese company Accelink Technologies Co. Ltd. located in the "Optical Valley" in Wuhan, China.
