Dedicated Tester with the desire to learn and try new areas within testing.
We are looking for a dedicated Tester who wants to join the largest railway and IT project in the history of Denmark.

Banedanmark’s Signaling Programme is conducting the replacement of all railway signals with brand new digital signal technology. It is a complex and technically challenging program with contributions from specialists with more than 20 different nationalities. Hence, the office language is English.

As our new Test Engineer, you will be part of the Onboard Project, one of the numerous projects in the Signaling Programme. The Onboard Project oversees the onboard control systems on the trains enabling use of the new signalling system.

You will work closely with both the Project Manager and the project team, and the position is located in Copenhagen.

Responsibilities and tasks
As your main responsibility, you will be supporting the Onboard Design and Integration Discipline Lead for all testing activities related to the Onboard Project and provide general administrative assistance, e.g., answering emails and inquiries as well as providing information and test assistance.

As Test Engineer, you will be part of the review process of related documents to test activities. You will also participate in test readiness review meetings and contribute in resolving related issues based on the need of coordination with suppliers, train operators and other departments in Banedanmark.

You will witness test execution, checking expected results or deviations based on the test procedure during test session. In this context, you will report all observations to the Onboard Design and Integration Discipline Lead, and you will assist collecting and consolidating input data to the supplier for test activities.

To ensure a high degree of test activities, you will participate in the planning of test activities in our Joint Test Lab (JTL) and on-site as well as assist preparing and verifying the accuracy of tool material for testing.

For you to be the right candidate...
You hold a degree in Engineering (IT, transport, electronic, production, mathematics, biomedical or similar), or you have experience with testing in IT systems, in railway systems or railways operations. Ideally, you have knowledge of ERTMS though this is not a requirement. You master English at a professional level, written as well as spoken.

On a personal level, you enjoy the variation in a multinational work environment where you collaborate with colleagues with many different backgrounds.

In the planning and execution of tests, you know that challenges arise and you easily find the simple path through complex issues – without losing your good spirit along the way. You are independent, energetic and persistent towards all internal and external stakeholders, and you manage to support both projects and management in order to make the right decisions on time.

You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
