MAN Energy Solution is looking for a Tender Manager to ensure quality and streamlining of our tender processes in our Retrofit and EMC department

MAN PrimeServ is a strong after-sales and service business with an informal atmosphere where focus is on customers and performance. Being part of the MAN PrimeServ team, MAN Energy Solutions, you will be servicing international customers mainly within the marine industry. The after-sales organization is supported by more than 100 service hubs worldwide, and we want to be the preferred service partner of the customer and build up long-term relations with our customers.

To secure our future growth according to a clear strategy and strong customer focus we are looking for a Tender Manager with experience in the engine industry, such as marine, automotive or other related industries. As the new Tender Manager, you will be part of Sales Team in our Retrofit and EMC department, and you will be referring to the Head of Sales for Retrofit and EMC.

MAN PrimeServ is a fast-paced unit with an informal atmosphere where focus is on customers and the performance of their vessels. Being part of the MAN PrimeServ part of MAN Energy Solutions after sales and service business, you will together with our sales managers, work in a close cooperation with top management in international maritime companies.

Job responsibilities:
As Tender Manager you will be managing incoming tender requests and coordinating company bids in collaboration with our sales managers. You will be responsible for securing a continuously high quality of the tender process with a correct match between scope and price.

You will furthermore be responsible supporting sales managers in preparation of budgets for project proposals, and the development of improved budgeting tools.

Main responsibilities:

  • Developing project budgeting tools
  • Dialogue with sourcing department and suppliers
  • Preparing budgets for project proposals
  • Obtaining management approval on project budgets
  • Preparing approved budgets for hand-over to execution department
  • Clarification of tender requirements
  • Development of proposal documentation and appendices
  • Co-ordinate scope of projects with sales managers

Profile/Qualifications:

  • A good level of proposal management experience
  • Extensive flair for numbers
  • Demonstrating previous exposure to contracts and an understanding of basic contract language
  • You are self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience with complex and solution sales of large projects is an advantage
  • Able to communicate on all levels in an international environment and be authoritative when needed
  • Commercial/technical educational background (e.g. Naval Architect, Marine Engineer, or other relevant education)
  • Fluent in English both oral and in writing
  • Candidates having offshore, maritime or power plant experience will be preferred
