We offer a temporary position for 1 year full-time as laboratory technician. You will be a part of one or more projects where you daily will perform tests and analyzes in the laboratory and take care of sample collection, sample preparation and data processing.

FOSS primarily develops instruments for the food industry, where the instruments analyze the various nutrient content of food and agriculture crops. Therefore, there are many different sample materials that you as a laboratory technician must handle. It can be milk, wine, beer, meat and various grain products.

The work in the laboratory is characterized by routine tasks and ad-hoc tasks. It involves work with ordinary laboratory instruments such as pH meter, flow cytometer and spectroscopy as well as various chemical methods and development instruments from FOSS. The job also includes datahandling and reporting of protocols.

What you bring to the table

We expect your educational background to be laboratory technician. It is considered an advantage if you have previously worked with FOSS instruments in the food- or agricultural industry and/or if you have experience with CLP-classification in regards to calculations. Since FOSS is a global organization, it is a prerequisite that you are fluent in English.

You will be part of a team with many different competencies (chemists, mechanical engineers, software developers, etc.) so you must be able to coordinate, interact and comminicate across the team. You work independently and systematically and take responsibility for your tasks.
