How to contribute to our vision
Technology is key to reduce the cost of energy to our customers. As a Technology Manager you will contribute to our target of meeting our customers’ performance and cost expectations towards our wind turbines and wind power plants. Based on our customers’ technical and financial requirements, you support our long term target setting for future wind turbine generations and then work with various teams and organizations to jointly meet these targets via technology roadmaps across the entire value chain.

You will create the required decision base for key technologies to prioritize developments and to support timely introduction into our product platforms. This will include for example risk analyses and mitigations and the support of business cases. All tasks are performed in close collaboration with the respective technology development functions.

It is your job to challenge whether our plans constantly match the evolving market requirements. You may also be supporting technology projects directly. Finally, you will support the analysis of M&A options with regards to technology developments and support the IP protection of our portfolio.

You will work closely with:

  • all parts of the Offshore Product Portfolio Management team
  • our Technology Development departments in which new technologies are designed, developed, matured and tested
  • various other departments of our Offshore business

You will have to be prepared to travel occasionally.

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

… a team player and a natural networker with the ability to work with many and different stakeholders within a complex business – building strong relationships which allow the handling of complex and controversial topics. It is natural for you to think ahead and to quickly evaluate the future impact of current events. You easily keep an overview of multiple topics and their interconnections and interdependencies. You have a structured approach to your assignments and can handle project scope changes which are normal in a product development environment. You thrive in a multi-cultural environment and are familiar with working in large organizations

To be successful in this role you furthermore:

  • have a master’s degree in either economics / business administration or a technical field
  • have passion for and experience in technology management and / or product lifecycle management; this can come from a related university degree or several years of experience within this field of work

  • have experience with project management of complex projects with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
  • possess strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing
