Would you like a unique opportunity to work with the best and most experienced experts in the world when it comes to glass and coatings on glass?

Do you have the potential to create an open and trusting environment where teamwork and collaboration is valued? Are you strong in project coordination, and can you make results through coaching others? In addition, do you have the ability to point out the direction when necessary? Do you want to go the extra mile when needed and do you have a can do/will do attitude? If that person could be you, then read on and apply because this job could be your next exciting career move.

Your challenges
We are right now in search for a talented technical project manager who would thrive on working in a matrix organisation with many stakeholders. When joining our Glass & Thin Film team, responsible for assuring the best-in-class glass and glass coating technologies in our VELUX roof windows, you will be the ‘glue’ that links logistics, deadlines etc. in the projects and you will play a vital role in carrying the projects through.

You will also be involved in the scientific considerations and the practical work in the laboratories and production lines. On top of that you will be responsible for the project budgets and resources.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Keep logistics, budgets and resources in main projects in the department
  • To secure the right process and keep deadlines
  • To reach out to internal stakeholders and get them on board on projects
  • Present projects at gate meetings
  • To reach out and negotiate with external knowledge centres, universities, suppliers etc.

We truly see the world as our working place. You must expect to travel approx. 30 days per year.

Your qualifications
You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree within chemistry, physics or engineering including 4-5 years of experience with project management and/or technology management. If you also have experience from working with glass and coatings on glass it will definitely be a plus.

You will have a lot of networking both internally as well as externally with e.g. universities, knowledge centres, suppliers etc. and you will collaborate with highly qualified specialists and experts, so it’s very important that you feel comfortable in an extrovert role and that you are a talented negotiator. Besides being a very skilled networker with excellent presentation skills, your strong points are your ability to take the initiative, to be persistent and to operate projects and change processes with the necessary impact.

On a personal level, you can motivate and inspire the people you work with and you have an exceptional talent for empowering others to strive for the common goal.

Fluency in English is necessary.

Your opportunities
Our team operates in an informal, dynamic and professionally stimulating and inspiring environment with competent colleagues. We believe that commitment and professional development contributes to great company results.

The international setting is in our DNA. We believe in empowering people and we support this through sharing knowledge, delegating responsibility and continuous employee development. You will be joining a strong value based company where commitment, thoroughness and mutual respect are among the core values and teamwork and professionalism is essential to the way we work.
