Technical project manager for propeller and propulsion retrofits

What am I going to do?
As we are growing our retrofit business for propeller and propulsion projects, we are seeking another colleague to join our product execution team in Frederikshavn. As a project manager, you will be responsible for the order execution of our retrofit portfolio for propeller and propulsion. Our portfolio cover aftship upgrades as well as retrofits to our propulsion control systems and MAN four-stroke propulsion engines. This means working on providing customers with solutions for lowering running costs, improving availability and meeting modern emission legislations. Our projects vary from a single order to a complex projects, where your service mind and technical skills will be of crucial importance.

More specifically, you will:

• Participate in customer meetings with technical inputs during the final sales phase and order phase
• Be customer “go-to” person for technical questions during order phase
• Follow-up on any deviations concerning the product/project scope and agreed milestones to the product manager
• Have technical understanding and overview of the project scope
• Coordinate the resolving of technical challenges with internal stakeholders (product management, automation team etc.)
• Define tasks for superintendents that perform service jobs
• Be responsible for end-to-end execution of standard product projects
• Develop and own project/order execution processes

Who am I?
You are used to and thrive in a growing working environment where you have a lot on your plate. You have a technical understanding and a commercial awareness, maybe previous experience working in the marine industry, so you can put yourself in the shoes of the customer and understand the journey the customer is going through after ordering a retrofit solution with us. Your project management skills are on an intermediate to high level and you are used to communicating with both internal stakeholders and customers with your excellent English skills in both speaking and writing.

In an ideal world, we imagine that you:

• Having a technical background like Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer or similar, is a clear advantage
• Have experience with engines/mechanical systems and/or marine automation systems
• Previous experience with executing various technical systems/projects
• Are used to handle and monitor component flows in an ERP system (we use SAP)
• Have strong stakeholder management and communication skills and are comfortable interacting at all levels in the organization
• Are structured, proactive and result oriented with focus on quality in your daily work

How is my new team/area of business?
You will be part of the Product Execution team. The project managers are executing all the orders we receive from the standard Retrofit & Upgrade product portfolio. We are a diverse team of skilled and dedicated people, focusing on order and project management. Your future colleagues are situated in Holeby, Frederikshavn and Copenhagen. We have a professional approach to our work, while having a humorous, casual and positive environment in the team.

This particular position will be based in Frederiksavn, where you will join our small team of sales managers, coordinators, product managers and project managers all dealing with propeller and propulsion retrofits.
