Do you have technical expertise within injection moulding tools and processes combined with project management ambitions?

And would you like to define the future of plastics production within the VELUX Group?

Then this is your chance to take on a highly versatile role, initiating and driving a wide range of projects and working hands-on with plastic production development.

Your challenges
In Production Engineering in Skjern, you will join a team with 3 other injection moulding specialists. Driving 3-5 projects at a time, you work with participants from Product Development, Quality, Purchase and external suppliers. Doing so, you manage the development of plastic components for new products and initiate and drive projects to develop new production technology, tools and processes. You also get to dive into the technical aspects of the projects and work hands-on with production development.

“By scouting and identifying new technologies, tools and suppliers, you will have great influence on the projects you manage and essentially set the direction for our future production,” says Production Engineering Director Lars Bohlbro.

More specifically, you will:

  • Ensure that projects are delivered at the right cost, time and quality, including coordinating activities across the project teams
  • Identify, test and mature new materials and production methods and conduct simulations in Moldex
  • Mature plastic components for new products and ensure design for manufacturing using SolidWorks and Creo
  • Scout and identify suppliers to develop new tools and equipment for production
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing companies to ensure successful implementation of projects
  • A couple of days a month, you will visit product development teams in Østbirk and Hørsholm. Furthermore, you will travel 15-30 days a year, primarily to visit our production company in Poland and external suppliers across Europe.

Your qualifications
As a person, you are a team player with a strong drive to achieve great results through cross-organisational collaboration. You dare to challenge the status quo and bring your ideas and creative solutions to the table.

  • You have experience with injection moulding tools and processes, e.g. as a toolmaker, mould designer, constructor or engineer, preferably within plastics.
  • You have the competences and personal persistency to initiate and manage projects, including coordinating activities and meeting budgets and deadlines
  • You know how to communicate technical matters in English - in both speech and writing.
  • If you have experience with SolidWorks/Creo and Moldex, it will be a plus.

Your opportunities
In this role, you get to turn our plastic production into your very own playground. Working with high-quality injection mould machines in our modern test centre, you get to explore new technological opportunities and decide where we are going next. And depending on your competences and interests, you get to shape how your role balances project management and technical development tasks.

You will become part of a small, close-knit team with a strong culture for sharing knowledge and helping each other out across projects. We have an informal tone and a healthy sense of humour - and we always take the time to have a laugh.
