For our “Cost & Commodity” team in the Industrialization department within Offshore Technology we are looking for a dedicated Technical Commodity Lead/Electrical Engineer who will cover our Control system. You will be part of a strong team with dedicated experts within all areas of the Wind turbine. 

How to contribute to our vision

As Technical Commodity Lead/Electrical Engineer you will be the “technical owner” of the Control system for all offshore turbines in serial production. You will be technically responsible for the control system strategy including the responsibility for building a plan for how to improve cost and performance on the Control System. This includes execution of the strategy/roadmap for coming years to strengthen our position as market leader in the offshore wind business.

You will be responsible for the technical qualification of new suppliers from start to delivery of the first components or cabinets for serial production. Your daily work will consist of both individual tasks as well as cross-functional teamwork where ideas and improvements will be evaluated and implemented accordingly.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

The ideal candidate has experience as an electrical engineer with a solid knowledge within Control systems (for wind turbines) and/or other electrical components / systems. You also have a technical engineering degree, B.Sc., M.Sc. with 5+ years of professional experience.

Other preferred skills:

  • You have working experience in a technical engineering organization doing product development/product support and preferably within the wind industry.
  • You are outgoing, determined and persistent with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • You are motivated by making things happen and at the same time shaping the strategy and direction of the future.
