Technical advisor

MAN Energy Solutions is the market-leader in developing two-stroke engines for ship propulsion. Our aim is to develop the next generation of ship engines to be carbon neutral, using new fuel types and reducing emissions. As a Technical advisor, you will play an important role in our journey towards carbon neutrality!

What am I going to do?
As our new technical advisor you will become part of our aftersales division, MAN PrimeServ, where you will join our 30 people strong Technical Service Department, which is responsible for supporting our customers around the globe in running the largest 2-stroke engines in the world. Therefore, together with our team of experienced and dedicated Superintendents, you will assist our customers and ensure that their engines run in the most optimal condition to ensure cleaner emissions and improved propulsion.

You can be sure to gain know-how from your colleagues and via training in our academy here in Copenhagen. Furthermore, you will become part of our internal network which can assist you with their profound expertise, knowledge and experiences. Thus, when in doubt, you can always reach out to one of your team who has deep knowledge of all MAN engine types, i.e. MC/MC-C/ME/MEC and ME-GI engines.

More specific, your daily work will consist of:

• Rendering optimum service, maintenance and troubleshooting on MAN 2-stroke engines
• Supporting customer inquiries by e-mail and phone
• Assisting travelling colleagues during onboard attendances
• Using our internal MAN network to solve complex customer issues
• Constantly educating yourself in new MAN technology
• Supporting the worldwide MAN organization

Who are you?
We imagine that our new colleague holds long term experience in working with 2-stroke engines. Maybe you have been traveling as superintendent or have some years of sea going experience. Maybe you would like to stop traveling and settle down, with a great office job, supporting our customers at MAN-ES?

As we strive to be the first choice of our customers in all aspects of the aftersales business, we expect you to work with professional confidence and a high degree of independency. You are quality conscious, service-minded and excited about working in a multicultural environment.

Moreover, you:

• Are qualified as Marine Engineer or Mechanical Engineer with around 5 years of experience.
• Have experience and solid knowledge of two-stroke engines (preferably MAN engines)
• Have practical knowledge of operation of our MC-C/ME/ME-B engines
• Have flair for troubleshooting of complex mechanical and/or electrical systems
• Speak and write English effortlessly
