The validation team is a central part of the R&D Services organisation with a vison to secure, maintain and support the highest quality within all aspects of R&D. The validation team consists of 12 highly skilled specialists and lab technicians and is responsible for defining and supporting the execution of overall project test strategies and test plans with a focus on customer driven specifications, legal requirements and reliability and robustness requirements.

As our Team Manager of Validation your responsibility will be to ensure new product quality and that specifications are met. You ensure the definition of product specifications and support that they are validated with various test systems. The focus is on verifying product reliability and validating environmental and legal demands.

Together with your team you are responsible for R&D projects getting the needed support and passing the different gates in the development process. This is done working in close cooperation with dedicated colleagues from many departments including Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Production and Customer & Sales Support.

Primary tasks
As Team Manager of Validation you will be instrumental in executing the reliability strategy and ensure a lean specification based environmental and legal test setup. You will ensure that the team provides an on time and smooth service to the new development projects. This is planned by the Validation Project Managers and carried out by the specialists.

You will do this by maintaining a prioritized overview of the projects’ progress and the internal and external deliveries from Validation to the R&D organization. You will be a part of the R&D Service management team working together to ensure an optimized development process for a rapidly growing product portfolio.

Qualifications
We expect that you have a strong technical background with a scientific degree in electronics, mechanics, physics or similar. In addition to this educational background you:

  • Are an experienced manager, capable of leading a team of specialists, ensuring top motivation and performance
  • Have experience in reliability engineering
  • Have a broad understanding of the multiple interests of a complex industrial cooperation from development to production
  • Have experince within the field of validation, and know what it takes to ensure the best possible quality, using the right methods and tools.
  • It is a prerequisite that you are fluent in Danish and English.

Personal skills
Your success will depend on you being an outstanding line manager of a cross-functional team, handling several direct reports and driving a broad project portfolio. The role entails elements of both operation and development and you must have an open mindset able to handle both.
