Team Manager - Automation project execution (CAPEX)

Global Engineering is looking for a Team Manager to develop a new team of 6 people who can ensure focus on project execution of our CAPEX projects.  
 
Global Engineering (GE) implements projects at our global production facilities within our core competences: building, process, packaging and automation. In addition, we contribute with vital expertise to feasibility studies and project drafts in the entire Chr. Hansen organization.  
 
We want to fine tune and to professionalize the project management on the CAPEX projects even further. Therefore we are looking for a person who can create a team of skilled automation professionals. The overall responsibility of the team is to streamline and optimize the project execution. This team will play a key role in our CAPEX projects, as the main focus is to ensure that project management in our projects is prioritized.   
 
A Team Manager with great people skills and a heart for project management  
Global Engineering is a well-functioning department with a total of 60+ staff members in Denmark, France, Germany and USA. We work with projects in Denmark and abroad in an exciting cross-functional environment so some travel should be expected.  
 
You will be part of a manager team of 3 people that cover Automation architects, MES and IT infrastructure.  
 
Global Engineering drives approx. 100+ projects per year and your most important task is to create are team of excellent automation people, that can consult the project managers on how to incorporate automation in the planning and ensure better project execution.  
 
Automation is an important part of our know-how which is why we take pride in keeping this part of the projects internally in Chr. Hansen. You will be the spider in the middle of a web of project managers, stakeholders/the business, programmers/developers, external consultants and QA. To make sure that the automation delivery has the needed input to fulfill the project so we can make the right estimate on cost and resources. And in executing keep track on time and budget.  
 
It’s your job to create a great team and continuous develop your direct reports so they are able to be a sparring partner for the project managers, ask the right questions, challenge the process and ensure timely deliveries.   
 
Your personal profile   

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering (Automation) or similar background  
• You have several years’ experience as a people manager  
• You have experience within Automation installations  
• You have experience with contractual and legal conditions in relation to suppliers and consultants  
• You possess excellent project management skills  
• You are customer oriented and thrive with working in a cross-functional and international environment  
• You are pro-active and able to keep focus on scope and deliverables  
• You are a team player and thrive by working in close collaboration with others  
• You have strong communication and negotiation skills  
• You both write and speak Danish and English at a high level
