Siemens Gamesa has a vision for renewable energy: we believe in the power of nature and tech-nology. Help us to be ready to face the energy challenges of tomorrow and make a green foot-print – join the team in creating a better future for us on our planet.

We focus on hiring the best people, wherever they may be in the world. We pride ourselves on the flexibility we offer to our employees and are committed to building a workforce that can grow with the company. Siemens Gamesa is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate di-versity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

In our culture of trust, we focus on empowerment, diversity and continuous learning. Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our or-ganization.

The Turbine Control department is an integral part of the Siemens Gamesa Offshore Technolo-gy organization, which forms the core of our technological leadership. We continuously aim to be best in class and we are looking for a Team Lead for a team of highly skilled control engine-ers in our Copenhagen office.

How to contribute to our vision
The Turbine Control department consists of 30 dedicated engineers divided approximately 50/50 between our two teams in Brande and Copenhagen. We deliver competitive and high-quality control solutions that optimize the annual energy production of our offshore wind turbi-nes, without compromising the structural integrity and operational constraints in the sub-systems.

We work on the forefront of technology and new product development. We play a decisive part from the initial ideation of new control concepts to the final type certification of the solutions and new products. In order to do so, we develop and maintain our advanced inhouse model-based control development framework and the tool chains that supports it.

Our markets and customers are international and so are our teams. In our Copenhagen team alone, we employ people from more than 10 different nationalities in an informal Danish wor-king culture. We are a part of the Loads and Control module where we collaborate closely with our sister departments in Loads, System Level Control and Project Management. We are inter-national and our daily work is in English as we have teams in US, India, France and Denmark across the Loads and Control module.

Our vision is to remain market leader, and as a Team Lead your mission is to enable your team to support this vision. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overall responsibility for team operations and performance within wind turbine control functi-onality and feature development, parameter optimization, prototype validation and certification
  • Supporting your team members in their individual development and growth
  • Team development including recruiting, training and maintaining the right people with needed competences
  • Handling priorities and team member allocation in collaboration with our sister departments, technical project managers and other functions
