Are you an architect, architectural technologist or engineer, and have experience from the construction industry that you can pass on and use to inspire industry professionals of the future?

As the new teacher at KEA, you will be teaching the students how to develop and manage construction projects of all sizes together with the other teachers on the programme.  The Bachelor of Architectural Technology and Construction Management (BATCM) programme is versatile and opens the door to exciting jobs in the construction industry. This English taught programme is relevant for both Danish and international students.

Teaching, development and cooperation
Your everyday life at KEA will alternate between teaching and participation in innovation and / or development projects that support the teaching. Part of your role is to create relations with the business community, which may further contribute to students' learning and development. In other words, your job as a teacher will include three elements, all of which are important for the students’ professional life.

The students will be working with the subjects Residential buildings, Buildings up to 2½ storeys, Industrial building and prefabrication Buildings above 3 storeys in height, and Renovation/Transformation. Which subjects you will be teaching depends on your knowledge and experience.

If you are not already a senior lecturer, we have a 4-year period training to become a senior lecturer at KEA which will develop and strengthen your skills as a teacher. This is structured and proven training with a strong focus on your own competency development which, through courses and guidance, qualifies you for the title of senior lecturer. You will follow the period training to become a senior lecturer together with other new teachers at KEA while teaching your own subject(s).

Knowledge alone is not enough. You need skills.
That’s our mission statement. And this is exactly what graduates from KEA must be able to and you will contribute to this.

As a teacher at KEA, you become part of a work environment where professional passion is the common denominator. Together with your 17 teacher colleagues at KEA BATCM you will plan and organise the teaching.

The teacher team is characterised by a high degree of professionalism, broad knowledge and solid experience in the field of construction. In addition, you will participate in the development and implementation of the programmes in close cooperation with your teacher team, your network in the construction industry as well as global and local partners.

At KEA, we value good and professional discussions, and they often continue over lunch. You will experience an informal working environment at Nørrebro, which will be your new workplace.
