Your challenges
You will be part of System Engineering in the team Advanced Engineering and Simulation, which is widely diversified with high professional skills in engineering, simulation and design.

You will be involved in product development projects with simulation of product performance, robustness and design optimisation from idea to verification of final product.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Calculation and simulation of performance characteristic of VELUX products, roof windows, installation systems, shutters and blinds using
  • Thermal simulation
  • FEM simulation
  • CFD simulation
  • Application and validation of simulation models to secure robustness and design optimisation
  • Evaluation of statistical data
  • Planning and coordination of analysis to evaluate product performance and features

We work in cross-functional project teams with stakeholders from all parts of the VELUX Group as well as external partners. Being part of a global organisation you must expect 10-20 days of travel per year.

Your qualifications
Your strong point is your high interest in product development and solid knowledge about simulation of heat transfer. It is important that you possess quality awareness and share our passion for development of building components and energy efficiency.

We expect you to have an Engineering degree, i.e. M.Sc. or Ph.D. with excellent expert skills in heat transfer and energy efficiency and that you are an experienced user of 2D and 3D simulation tools such as Heat, Flixo, Therm, BSim. In addition, you may have some experienced in FEM or CFD simulation using simulations tools in 3D such as SolidWorks, Creo, Ansys, Comsol.

On a personal level, you are open minded, flexible and have a healthy sense of humor. You have the ability to take responsibility and needed initiative to make sure we deliver high quality in all solutions.

You have a structured and analytical approach to task solving, and you take great pride in being thorough and detail oriented in your work. You see yourself as a self-driven and independent person with a strong drive, getting your energy from working in a knowledge intensive team based on collaboration, knowledge sharing and sparring with colleagues.

You have an open and forthcoming manner and you collaborate easily with people around you, both technicians as well as non-technicians.

As you will engage with stakeholders throughout our organisation, strong communication skills are a must including fluency in Danish and English both orally and in writing.
