System developer internship in popular Copenhagen-based agency

We've done thousands of projects for some of Denmarks largest corporations and institutions such as Rigsarkivet, Glyptoteket, Folketinget, Blast PRO Series, Unity and L'oreal. We're currently looking for two interns to join our development team working with primarily PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, Litespeed, nginx, Apache, git (bitbucket) and Docker.

Our team
We're a team of 15-20 developers working in two departments. You'll be joining one of the two teams below:

Team 1: Our web team working primarily with WordPress and PHP-based applications.

Team 2: Our product and DevOps team running our servers and building our internal products.

Your job
We're looking for 2 developer interns who want to work with either WordPress/PHP/frontend or our backend and DevOps team.

We don't expect you to have a lot of experience, but we are primarily looking for interns who can "carry their own weight", so it's important for us that you've made websites and software prior to your internship. The more experience you have, the better.

We work quite a lot with WordPress and PHP so we'll prioritise applicants with experience in this.

Furthermore we're looking for people with knowledge of Apache, Litespeed and nginx. If you've worked with Python, .NET, Objective-C, Java or other programming languages then we see this as a major plus, but your primary role with be working with PHP, so we expect you to know your way around this.

A typical day at HTML24 consists of building scalable and fast WordPress-based websites and systems as well as communicating with our customers about their projects.

We're an international team with people from around the world so we expect you to be fluent in English.

Technologies we expect you to work with:

• WordPress
• PHP
• Either Laravel, Symfony or a similar framework
• HTML+CSS and a framework like Vue.
• Server management (Apache, nginx or Litespeed)
• Docker

The internship
Our internship program consists of 3-6 months full-time from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After their internship we always consider increasing our team, therefore, we usually hire 2-4 interns each semester after their internship ends.

We typically start internship periods every semester. One period starts in January/February. The other in August/September.

As an intern you will be working with the following:

• HTML5
• CSS3 & SASS
• Javascript / GulpJS
• Stylus / jQuery / Bootstrap
• PHP 7
• WordPress / WooCommerce / ACF
• Breakdown and estimation of tasks
• Costumer relations
