Supply Chain Manager
A broad role including leadership of procurement, warehousing and distribution teams in growing production company
For our client Mikkelsen Electronics in Farum just north of Copenhagen, we are on the lookout for an experienced and ambitious Supply Chain Manager. This new position requires that you take leadership in implementing and executing effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services as well as optimizing the product flow and procedures in Mikkelsen Electronics.
Mikkelsen Electronics is a manufacturing and trading company, supplying tailormade cabling and other customized solutions to the largest Scandinavian industries in small, medium and large scale production. They also deliver a wide range of standard specialized components. They have production facilities in HQ in Farum as well as at modern facilities at their subsidiary in Nis in Serbia.
Your main responsibilities are to:
- Manage the entire planning of procurement processes as well as supply chain activities and ensure procedures are developed and documented
- Optimize the supply chain between Mikkelsen companies, suppliers and customers in order to reduce shipping costs and time and to comply with customer needs
- Design and implement strategies for procurement as well as warehousing
- Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimize consumption
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and contractors to facilitate smooth flow of goods
- Drive a further digitalization process in your field
Your team consists of 10 people in both Denmark and Serbia of skilled procurement and warehouse employees. This position also requires close cooperation with the management team, especially production and sales - and you will report directly to the CEO of the company.
Some travel activities to the team in Serbia and to international suppliers should be expected.
Your personal skills and qualities
You are a people person and you have proven skills and results as Supply Chain Manager in a similar international production company, managing a culturally diverse team. You have skills in motivating a team, you lead by individual coaching and motivate the team to improve their results.
We expect you to have a bachelor or a master’s degree in Production or Logistics, or similar. You have hands-on experience in procurement and/or distribution/shipping and work structured and systematically to optimize supply chains, reduce inventory values and ensure timely arrival of materials for production orders. As a result, you have good digital skills.
Furthermore, we expect that you are self-motivated, have an outgoing personality and have great cooperation capabilities with many types of stakeholders internally and externally.
Your English and Danish are fluent and preferably you speak German.
