Primary tasks would include fixing the current version and design a new version of our HanDiRob mobile platform (https://handirob.eu/). HanDiRob is a project aimed at creating and testing a mobile modular interactive hand sanitizer robot to be used at hospitals. The ideal candidate would:

  • know how to use CAD software (e.g. Fusion 360) to design the chassis and shell of the robot or improve our current design
  • have experience with 3D printing (we use an Ultimaker S5)
  • have experience with finishing of 3D printed surfaces
  • know how to choose parts for building a mobile robot (e.g. motors, alu profiles, batteries, controllers)
  • have experience with basic electronics
  • have some experience with programming
  • is on the way to getting a degree in engineering (any flavor) or in similar fields at SDU
  • has a can-do attitude
  • is available to work during the summer, at least partially.

Even if you don't have all the above qualifications, apply by sending in your CV. The position is paid hourly according to standard SDU student worker (PROSA) rates. The job would last until the end of the year, with full-time hours during the summer (up to 37hr/week) and part-time hours after that (up to 14hr/week). SDU is an equal opportunity employer.
