Student job - big construction project

Are you an engineering or construction student who thrives on responsibility and challenges? Can you combine practical problem solving with knowledge from your studies? Then you may do an internship with the country's largest contracting company working within railways, where the work alternates between construction site and office.

Aarsleff Rail specialises in devising, planning and implementing large projects within infrastructure and construction – from planning to delivery. The project in question is the Copenhagen Light Rail (Hovedstadens Letbane), and you will be working with the team building the tracks.
 
Become part of the project management
As an intern, you will be part of the project management team and must ensure that the work is carried out according to schedule, with a high quality and in a safe manner.

The tasks you will have to assist with could be: 

• Contribute to daily planning and coordination, including traffic plans, receiving materials, safe work environment
• Assist with the purchase of main project materials
• Follow up on own production and subcontractors
• Participate in safety rounds and safety meetings
• Prepare documentation in connection with quality assurance, including many tasks related to the production of track, such as rail welding.

You will have an exciting and varied workday with ample opportunity for hands-on experience with a wide range of tasks. The culture is characterised by an international team with highly motivated colleagues. You will get a broad network of contacts because you will be supporting and coordinating with our construction workers, foremen, contract managers and project managers. The project is in Greater Copenhagen, and the official language is English, but Danish is a plus.
