Student Assistants/Hourly paid employees
We are looking for two motivated student assistants to help with our project on differences between cycling behaviour and uptake in Denmark and The Netherlands. Your job will be to analyse survey data from both countries and support the development of a research-based paper.
You will be part of a great team enhancing research-based competence within the area of transport, behaviour, sustainability, data science and cross-border collaboration.
The job
As student assistant you will:
- Carry out data analysis focusing on cycling behaviour based on National Travel Surveys in Denmark and The Netherlands
- Write parts of a research-based paper, including literature review, descriptive sections and support us in different ad-hoc tasks.
- Participate in meetings and prepare slides and presentations.
- Collaborate on ideas and research hypothesis.
Our expectations of you
You are a positive person who embraces possibilities and is a team player.
You are currently studying at a master’s level education. Preferably, you have an interest in transport science or cycling.
You need you to:
- have good knowledge of data analysis and of appropriate programming language (Phyton or R)
- thrive in a team where co-creation and collaboration is a must
- respect the organisation you work in as well as the organisation you work with
- have an understanding for cross-disciplinary work
- have strong organisational as well as communication skills.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
The number of working hours will be between 15-20 hours per week on average which can be organized with flexibility in view of your holidays, exams, etc. The expected starting date is 1 September 2022 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment ends 31 December 2022.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
