Would you like to be one of our next student assistants in COWI, Dept. of Wind Energy & Renewables and be part of a unique and ambitious professional environment within offshore wind energy steel design?

THE STUDENT ASSISTANT POSITIONS
We are looking for technically strong student assistants who during the study at DTU have found interest for structural design, finite element analysis, scripting and want to further use and develop the knowledge within the field of offshore wind steel design.

For COWI it is important to support and develop your talent. As a student assistant you will therefore be teamed up with a mentor that will support you with your technical work in COWI understanding that you also have studies at DTU in parallel with your work in COWI. The workload as a result is in average 7.5  hours per week depending on design tasks and your schedule at DTU. COWI has furthermore great experience in supporting bachelor and master thesis work together with supervisors at DTU which means that your thesis or special course work at DTU can be combined with topics you find interesting at COWI.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • You are at the end of your bachelor or are following a master (MSc) programme in Civil Engineering at DTU.
  • You have focused on structural analysis incl. steel design and application of associated numerical tools presented at the DTU, such as Abaqus or Ansys or similar.
  • You have obtained good grades on B.Sc. And M.Sc. level and are fluent in English (oral and verbal).
  • You are curious, open-minded and a good communicator

COWI AS A WORK PLACE – WE OFFER
COWI holds a very strong competitive position in the offshore wind market with detailed design experience of some of the world largest monopile and jacket steel structures for support of offshore wind turbines in Europe, North America and Asia.

We offer an exciting job in COWI where we place emphasis on personal commitment, responsibility and independence in everything we do. We offer you an opportunity to develop your knowledge from the university and the possibility for permanent employment after finished studies.
