What are your tasks?
As a student assistant in Technical Services, your primary focus will be to support our technical department, specifically in relation to the development of our internal TechAdvisor application. Your main tasks will include, but not be limited, to:

  • Registration, completion and validation of content in TechAdvisor
  • This is done by interviewing technically experienced colleagues
  • Feedback to the project organisation behind TechAdvisor
  •  Dialogue with project participants regarding focus areas and development
  • Stakeholder management with relevant stakeholders
  • Gather knowledge and information that can contribute to the project

Who are you?
We expect that you have a good technical foundation and that you can familiarise yourself with various technical descriptions with ease. Furthermore, we expect you to have an outgoing and positive approach to other people, as this position requires a lot of communication and involvement with experienced colleagues in order to contribute to the project. You have a flair for IT, you see potential in working in a structured way and ticking off well-accomplished tasks. You find it natural to have customer contact in English and do your utmost to meet customers and colleagues with an open mind. After some internal training, you will thrive in an environment with individual tasks, while also being able to share knowledge and join interdisciplinary teams where there is a need.

What is my new team/business area like?
We offer a job where it will be possible to act on good ideas and at the same time ensure proper training in various job tasks. It is a knowledge-heavy engineering company, where the daily conversation will be with skilled technical engineers/marine engineers as well as maritime customers with technical challenges. We try to adapt the good ideas from the different teams to improve the daily business. In order to be able to provide facilities and help the solutions on their way, it is an advantage to be able to think outside the box, while at the same time being able to accept that you are part of a large organisation where execution of work can be time-consuming. You will work in a technical department that provides optimised service to our customers. The department consists of 40 technical colleagues whose main focus is to run PrimeServ’s business in the best possible way with the customer in focus.
