Help shape a brand-new sustainability team
At GN, we make life sound better for our customers through intelligent audio solutions that let you hear more, do more and be more than ever thought possible. At our HQ in Ballerup, you will join a newly formed sustainability team, which is a Group function reporting to GN Store Nord’s CFO. The team serves as a sustainability knowledge and support hub, working closely with a wide array of stakeholders across the business, such as operations, R&D, product management, communications and marketing. Though still in the early stages, we wish to create an international vibe in the team and therefore welcome people from all over the world.

Data collection, community building and administrative tasks
As our new student assistant, you will work with a wide range of tasks – some will be pre-defined, but since this is a brand-new area, we are hoping you will also bring your own input to the table. Our work is based on data from across our organization as we aim to establish a solid foundation to support GN’s sustainability goals, and as such you can expect both data crunching and administrative tasks, but also quite a lot of internal community building to further embed a culture of sustainability across GN. The focus in your role will be tailored to your preferences and personality.

You will get to support your team in the following tasks:

  • Driving sustainability projects globally

  • Researching sustainability trends relevant to GN

  • Data collection and processing

  • Building internal networks to strengthen a culture of sustainability in GN

  • Administrative support

”I’m hoping for a great partnership where we learn a lot from you and vice versa. It’s an opportunity for you to get deeply involved from the very beginning in a new focus area in GN that is highly prioritized by the management – and it’ll make for a great opening for your career”, says Head of Sustainability Maurits Hekking.

Student with an international outlook and open mind
To succeed in this role, it is vital that you are passionate about sustainability and have an open mind and an international view on the world. With our many touch points across the company, you will get to utilize your excellent communication skills and outgoing personality to learn how to navigate and communicate on all professional levels.
Lastly, you are able to grab and initiate tasks yourself, without always waiting for assignments to be given to you.

We imagine that you:

  • Are in your final year at university, studying a degree within e.g. business or engineering with a focus on sustainability

  • Can work approximately 15 hours a week with flexibility both ways in times of peak workloads, both at your study and at GN

  • Have either strong data and/or number skills or strong communication and network-building skills, ideally in the area of sustainability

  • Have fluency in Microsoft Office programs

  • Are fluent in English
