The working hours are expected to be approx. 8 hours a week, which enables you to combine the job with your studies. It is an opportunity for a unique learning experience and a chance to turn theories into practice. 

The position
We are seeking a motivated student for the development of antibody sequence analysis workflow. We will need your assistance in advancing our workflows for discovering new therapeutic antibodies. Novel developments in antibody discovery technology include large paired antibody repertoires using single B cell V(D)J sequencing. We are building analysis workflows for selecting the best possible antibody candidates considering complex aspects and numerous parameters.

Qualifications 
You are currently studying Datalogic, Engineering, Life Science i.e., Bioinformatics or similar and have at least one year left of your studies. Furthermore, the ideal candidate: 

  • Should be proficient in biological sequence analysis using Linux platform 
  • Should be proficient in writing functions (in Python or R) for clustering or filtering of antibody attributes as well as more advanced functions
  • Know antibody sequences and basic immunology 
  • Speak and write English at a professional level

You will be introduced to working in a large pharma company devoted to computational methods and will work with laboratory scientists as well as with computational scientists developing deep learning models and advanced analyses.

About the department 
In Antibody Technology we develop antibodies for projects across all therapy areas at Novo Nordisk. We utilise state of the art antibody technologies such as yeast display, hybridoma, and single cell technologies. High-throughput processes are an integral part of our daily work and a key element in both cell culturing and screening workflows. We are about 20 people working in a highly collaborative and cross-functional setting with a continuous focus on delivering on projects as well as development of our personal competences.
