As you may know, Arla is a global dairy company. Maybe not the first place you’d think of as having an exciting, 450 strong IT department packed with experts. But we’re also a digital FMCG business, in the midst of a huge transformation. So there’s lots to do and you could step right into one of the teams doing it.

You’ll actually have a supporting role in an agile team. Working with scrum masters, product owners, developers or architects. We’re looking for student workers in three different areas: software design/engineering, UX/agile and data science/engineering. We’re committed to professional development and if at some point you feel like moving on to other areas of expertise, you’ve got plenty of scope: the Arla IT department employs 450 people, with plenty of opportunities to try different release trains or new roles. Your tasks could be within:
Software design and development
- Support the teams in building software applications, both backend (e.g. .NET, C#, Python) and front end (e.g. react, angular)
- Write and improve the Infrastructure as code scripts, work with azure cloud services
- Assist in maintaining platforms through security and maintenance tasks
UX and Agile
- Participate and prepare for agile ceremonies, e.g. standups, planning, reviews
- Help refine backlogs and prepare features and user stories
- Participate in UX design and mockup creation
Data Science and Data Engineering
- Implement data pipelines into our data platforms
- Building ML models and data science products
- Work with analytical services in Azure
- Assist in improving our MLOps setup
