This is who we are
The ROCKWOOL International Global Service Desk is a part of our global IT organisation known as Digital. We provide on- and offsite IT support to more than 7800 users around the world. As a trainee, you will join our global team of IT supporters who you will work with closely during your internship.

This is the role
Working at the Global Service Desk, you will become familiar with a wide range of challenges, including installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.

With guidance from your colleagues in Global Service Desk you will:

  • Assist users with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of laptops, desktop computers, printers, related IT-sanctioned peripherals and software
  • Ensure that laptops, desktops and tablets interconnect seamlessly with corporate systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, switches, routers, etc.
  • Resolve and repair any Windows-related issues
  • Prepare and roll out new laptops, desktops and other hardware
  • Assist with IT Asset Management processes and maintaining hardware inventory

You have great communication skills, giving you the ability to guide and inform both technical and non-technical colleagues. You are likewise quality-oriented, customer-focused and good at problem solving which motivates you to keep going until you find the right solution to any problem. Moreover, we look for a creative mindset and the motivation to search out opportunities for improvements.

It is also important that you:

  • Have started the mandatory courses of the data and communications education
  • Are fluent in English
  • Have sound interest and basic knowledge of IT environments, hardware configurations, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair of both desktops, laptops and peripherals
  • Have a solid proficiency in Windows 10, Office 365 and other desktop software installation, including upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs

Working hours
15-20 hours/week excl. lunch. The hours are allocated on an ongoing basis by appointment with the Head of Global Service Desk and with consideration for your study.
