You will join our Group Strategy and M&A department

As our Student M&A and PMI assistant you will be part of an international team with diversity in age, gender, educational and professional backgrounds. The Group M&A team is responsible for ensuring the strategic fit, proper process and quality in all our acquisitions – in close collaboration with the business owners. Together with the Group Strategy, the M&A team forms the basis of the Executive Office which is responsible for key strategic priorities.

Key tasks in the role for assistant in M&A:

M&A target identification & screening

  • Support the identification and evaluation of potential M&A acquisition targets by coordinating the collection of background data on the possible targets, and assessing the overall attractiveness and alignment with business segment and group strategy
  • Preparing convincing and professional presentations

M&A project management (acquisitions, joint ventures, divestments)

  • Assisting in the execution of M&A, JV, divestment transactions
  • Support the development of business cases, financial forecasts and valuation for each transaction
  • Assisting the due diligence and managing process
  • Managing transaction timetables
  • Assisting in preparing project presentations with recommendations and proposals for internal decision making
  • Maintaining various databases

PMI Project Management (Post Merger Integration)

  • Assisting in the planning of integrations
  • Supporting the project managing process
  • Managing timetables and milestones
  • Preparing and delivering material to executive meetings 
  • Preparing and facilitating meetings and workshops 
  • Be part of exiting change management processes

In Group Strategy, we take ownership of driving the strategy implementation and strategic projects related to the overall group strategy in all of which you will play a central role.

Your starting point for constant growth

From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:

  • Relevant academic background: 3rd year bachelor’s or on-going Master-level degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Science, Engineering, or a related field of study from a leading university
  • International experience through previous positions or studies is also advantageous
  • Relevant part- or full-time experience from internships or other student positions is an advantage, but not a requirement
  • Fluency in English (Danish is not required)

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: An ability to navigate in a complex environment, collaborative skills and a strong drive is key as we work in a high-paced environment.
