Your tasks and responsibilities will include contributing to the overall digitalization strategy, by improving access to data, automating reporting, and improving tools to monitor, visualize and analyze production performance as well as doing in-depth analysis of our large data sets. You will be following up on our project portfolio, making and improving monthly reports and presentations, and supporting the Global Optimization Leadership Team.

Global Optimization is looking for an ambitious Student Assistant who is passionate about biotechnology and data science. Global Optimization is a function in Product & Process Development, Research & Development and dedicated to optimizing our production processes at Novozymes. Our production consists typically of three process steps, i.e., fermentation, recovery, and formulation, and we have 7 production sites located in Denmark, US, China, and Brazil.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Your tasks and responsibilities will include contributing to the overall digitalization strategy, by improving access to data, automating reporting, and improving tools to monitor, visualize and analyze production performance as well as doing in-depth analysis of our large data sets. You will be following up on our project portfolio, making and improving monthly reports and presentations, and supporting the Global Optimization Management Team. You will work in Bagsværd, and we expect you to work 1-2 days a week. To succeed you must: 

  • Be enrolled in the final year of your BSc or first year MSc studies and have obtained excellent exam grades. You will most likely have an engineering background (preferable within Chemical engineering, Biotechnology, or IT); data science/management or financial background
  • Have prior experience within one or several of the listed working areas.
  • Be advanced user of Excel and hold the ability to learn new IT tools (Knime; Tableau; Power BI) fast
  • Be excellent in making power point presentations 
  • Be ambitious, systematic, and enjoy handling large and complex data sets
